LACM Online: College Prep Program

Enrollment in the LACM Online College Prep Program provides aspiring music professionals in high school with access to college-level courses instructed by Award Winning Department Heads and Faculty that are currently working in the Los Angeles music industry. Our programs help students enhance their skills in musicianship, music theory and prepare students for professional certifications in Pro Tools. College Prep Program students take advantage of an enhanced education by applying their skills to college auditions, theory proficiency testing, and improved technique in their high school performance ensembles. Upon program completion, students attending LACM for college may have the opportunity to test-out of some first-year courses.

Benefits of the LACM Online College Prep Program include:

Drum Performance – Private instruction in Drum Technique and improved proficiency in Music Theory and Piano.
Guitar Performance – Private instruction in Guitar Technique and improved proficiency in Music Theory and Piano.
Music Producing & Recording – Preparation for AVID Pro Tools certification, Ear Training and improved proficiency in Piano.

College Prep Program I & II

The College Prep Program is offered in two parts, College Prep I & College Prep II, for all three of our online programs. Completion of both programs is optional, however, students cannot enroll in College Prep II without completion of College Prep I.

  • Each program consists of 1-2 online classes over 3 academic quarters. Guitar and Drum performance includes private lessons.
